It took nearly a year, but Michael Chamas, whose small, personal restaurant, Bistro 222, is something of an oasis on busy Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, is now able to serve beer and wine with his carefully composed plates that are a blend of California, France and Italy. His appealing menu offers herb-lavished dishes typified by free-range chicken Marsala, a lighter version of the classic dish, seafood risotto and a shrimp burger he created to wean his son away from fast food.
